A propos de Tohoku
Tohoku is the region stretching north from Tokyo, all the way to the northern island of Hokkaido, nearly 700 miles. The area is rural, receives few tourists, and is a great place to discover a more restful, mountainous Japan, off the beaten track. There are small towns with hot springs, historic castles, and the Bullet train line all the way from Tokyo to Aomori and Akita, to make access convenient despite the long distances involved.
